A Catholic Priest - "in good standing" - so far! And that is how I hope to die
Monsignor Elliott was a wonderful priest and a very dear and special man. He was hard working, kind, down-to-earth and had lovely sense of humour. He made his mark on St James The Great in Petts Wood in his 28 years there and he will never be forgotten by his parishioners and friends. Thank you for everything Mons. You will certainly live on in many hearts.
Msgr John Elliott was a wonderful pastor at St.James the Great Pettswood. I visted him few times and found that he was a sincere and harworking priest with excellent sense of humour and down to earth. it was amazing to see that he always was aware of the Post Vatican II climate of the Church and trying lead people carefully towards in the spirit of Vatican II. He knew what he was doing, building a catholic community in a changing world.
